Open call audition for 13 - 21 year olds to perform as part of The National Theatre's Connections festival 2018.

Cast is holding open auditions for young performers aged 13 - 21 years old, to be a part of Cast Youth Theatre Stage Lights Company, a one-off performance group who will work towards a performance at The National Theatre Connections festival.

Connections is the National Theatre's annual festival of new plays for youth theatres and schools. It gives young people experience of professional theatre making.

In Spring 2018, the Cast's Stage Lights Company will perform Chris Bush’s brand new play The Changing Room twice before performing alongside young people from across the borough as part of Connections. This modern new play is about growing up. Set in and around a swimming pool, The Changing Room follows a group of teens full of excitement, impatience and uncertainty, each with their own secret worries and desires for what comes next.

There is no need to prepare anything and you don't need to be a member of Cast Youth Theatre to audition.

Rehearsals for the project will mainly take place on Wednesdays 24, 31 January and 7, 21 and 28 February 2018, 7.15pm to 8.45pm. There will also be some rehearsals during February half term.
