The Grunwick strike challenged stereotypes, changed the face of traditionally white, male trade unions, and inspired others to speak out against injustice. The Head Wrap Diaries Tuesday 24 April, 7.45pm £12.50 (£10 under 26) Hair – worn long, worn short, worn wavy or in braids – is the subject of The Head Wrap Diaries, a funny and uplifting dance theatre show by London based company Uchenna Dance. It’s an interactive show set in a hair salon about people, and their ongoing relationship with hair. Whiskey Galore Wednesday 13 - Saturday 16 June, 7.30pm Saturday matinee, 2.30pm £19 (£16 under 26) The islanders of Great and Little Todday are dismayed to find their whisky supply dwindling as the UK government diverts the precious stuff to the Americans, in an attempt to bribe them into supporting the British war-effort. When the whisky runs out completely it seems like the end of the world… This new production, set in 1955, is a tribute to the feisty, fearless all-female touring theatre companies of the post-war years.
