Cast has received £5,000 to fund creative work with older adults for as part of the charity's commitment to empowering older people to engage in, and create, excellent art.

The donation was provided by the Santander Foundation, which offers Discovery Grants to UK registered charities for projects that help disadvantaged people in local communities.

Throughout the next year Cast will increase the number of older people accessing its work by testing ways to ensure they have fun and enjoy artistic activities within its spaces and in community settings. It's hoped that through this scheme local older people will have a improved, positive quality of life, meet like-minded people and become part of a lively arts community.
