News Cast to host festive fundraiser

Cast is delighted to announce its third Festive Fundraiser, organised by Ben Eagle, a member of Cast’s pantomime company and returning Dame for the third year, appearing as one of the Ugly Sisters in this year’s Cinderella.

Taking place on Monday 29 December at 7.30pm in Cast’s Main Space, the evening will see the ensemble of Cinderella - as well a few of Cast's staff - come together for a joyful night of music, laughter and sketches, presenting a spectacular cabaret in support of the theatre.

Tickets are just £10, with all proceeds from the night going directly to Cast, helping to support its work across Doncaster and continue its mission of bringing world-class theatre and unforgettable experiences to the heart of the city. 

Last year’s Festive Fundraiser raised over £3,000, all of which went towards supporting Cast’s creative programme, Youth Theatre, community work and commitment to accessibility. Now a much-loved festive favourite, the event gives audiences the chance to see the panto cast beyond pantomime, sharing a range of talents alongside other local performers, all in support of the Doncaster theatre. 

Ben Eagle said: “Being the Dame at Cast is an absolute joy, and somehow they’ve trusted me with it for a third year. This fundraiser is about having a laugh, bringing the panto company and Cast staff together, and raising money for a theatre that means a huge amount to me. It’s silly, festive fun – and for £10, it’s cheaper than a round of drinks.”

The fundraiser sits alongside Cast’s Christmas pantomime, Cinderella, which is currently welcoming thousands of people through its doors this festive season, to rave reviews.
