Young Leader's Programme

Young Leader's Programme

Be part of the next generation of creative workshop leaders in Doncaster!

Cast and Expect Arts are looking to recruit young people, aged 16-20, from across Doncaster to become Young Leaders in the arts. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with an interest in creative arts, particularly those considering a career in arts and culture or education.

What is involved?

As a Young Leader, you will gain hands-on experience in the delivery of a variety of creative activities, assisting arts professionals to run workshops in dance, drama and theatre with children and young people across your area. You will have the chance to assist in creative sessions that include after school activities and holiday clubs, as well as helping to shape the creative programme here at Cast.

In order to ensure that you are fully supported, you will receive a full programme of training and mentoring, as well as ongoing guidance from session leaders. We will also assist with travel costs.

In addition to this, you will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and interests here at Cast with bespoke opportunities created to nurture your individual talents, from directing to technical support to participatory arts to marketing as well as the chance to work towards Arts Award certification.
