Frequently Asked Questions
Can I run regular sessions from Cast?
We don’t allow regular sessions (such as weekly or monthly) to be run from our building as we can’t always guarantee the space, and because it infers an endorsement from or link with us.
Can we bring our own catering?
As we have exclusivity with our on-site cafe, we do not allow food to be brought in from external caterers.
Do your rooms come with use of a screen?
Yes. Meeting Spaces 1 and 3 have an integrated screen; for other spaces, we have a moveable screen which can be put in if requested (subject to availability).
Are there conferencing facilities available?
Yes. The screen in Meeting Spaces 1 and 3 has conferencing capabilities, and for other spaces, the secondary screen also has conferencing equipment. Additionally, we have a Nuroum available.
Is there WiFi available?
Yes; when you arrive for your booking, a duty manager will greet you and give you a rundown of the fire evacuation procedure, and any useful information for your visit. It will be then that they will give you the WiFi password.
Can I hire multiple spaces at once?
As long as we have the availability, yes! We have previously hosted whole-building takeovers with the same hirer using every space.
Is Cast accessible?
At Cast, we strive to be an accessible and inclusive environment. We have a page on AccessAble which is linked here. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Do you have an on site car park?
We don’t, but there are several car parks within a couple of minutes’ walk. The closest are the Chamber Road car park, the Civic Quarter car park and the Waterdale car park.
Can I hire the Main Space or Second Space for my show?
Yes, the Main Space and Second Spaces are available for hire. However, we programme our shows up to 18 months in advance, so the earlier you can make enquiries, the better. It is also important to us that we present events in line with our programming remit, so we might ask you a little bit about your proposed performance before confirming the hire.
Can you cater to dietary requirements?
Our brilliant catering team are well accustomed to providing catering to suit a variety of dietary requirements! If you have any specific questions, please get in touch and we will be able to discuss it with the team. Please note that any changes made less than two weeks before the booking cannot be guaranteed.
Can we have alcohol at our event?
Yes, we are a licensed premises and have a selection of drinks packages available.
Can I access the space before my booking?
We can generally accommodate 15 minutes access before the start of your booking (subject to availability). If you are wanting more than that, please get in touch beforehand and we will see what is possible.
Do I have to ticket my event through Cast if I hire the Main or Second Space?
Yes. All events in Cast’s Main and Second Spaces must be ticketed through our Box Office. This ensures a smooth customer experience and helps us support your event effectively. Please note that a ticket commission applies, which goes directly to Cast. We’re always happy to explain this in more detail, just ask!
