Sing Out is a completely subsidised creative singing group for young people with additional needs aged 12 – 18 years.
This fun and friendly group is ideal for those passionate about music or looking to try something creative. Sing Out sings it all, from songs from hit musicals and films to Disney, plus chart favourites and classics from pop to rock to R&B. Everyone gets a say in what to sing!
Participants can also make their own music/songs together using voices and handheld percussion – a gentle, tactile way to develop coordination and creativity. Accessible movement and vocal warm-ups encourage confidence and listening.
Sing Out gives young people the opportunity to make new friends, learn new songs and enjoy making music while developing their social and communication skills in a supportive and creative environment.
Thanks to funding from EXPECT Youth, who are investing in community-based youth activities throughout the borough, Cast is able to subsidise these sessions making them free of charge for participants and their carers.
Young people are welcome to attend alone or with a parent/carer for one-to-one-support. Sessions are on Wednesdays at 5.30pm. Refreshments are provided. Click here to download the consent form.
If you're a carer and intending on coming to the session, you'll need to book a carer ticket too. If you're leaving your child without a carer, you'll need to complete a participation form. Click here to download the consent form.
