Theatre Summer School

Make friends, have fun and develop some great new skills at our fabulous Cast Summer School. At the end of their time Summer School workshops children and young people will join together to showcase their new-found singing, acting and dancing skills to family and friends.
Your place is not confirmed until a parent or carer has filled in the participant survey, and your place may be given to someone else if this is not done within 1 week of booking on.
While we've got you, here's some other important information about the Summer School. Don't worry, we'll remind you of all of this nearer the time.
Registration for Theatre & Technical Summer School will take place at Cast theatre Box Office in the main foyer at 10am on Tuesday 26 August. Your parent or carer will be asked to sign the participant survey you filled in in advance at this registration. You wont be able to attend the Summer School without a signing.
Squash Juice and water are provided throughout the day. You should bring with you a packed lunch or money to buy lunch from Cast’s Café Bar. A special meal deal will be available from Cast’s Café Bar of £3, which will include sandwich meals, soup and jacket potatoes.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions we need to know about, or require any additional support of any kind, please let us know in advance of the school. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
Clothing and what to bring
You wont need any special equipment to take part, just plenty of enthusiasm. It’s advised for the Theatre Summer School you wear comfortable, loose clothing in which you can move around freely. For the Technical Summer School please wear closed toe shoes (i.e no sandals). It is advisable to bring a reusable water bottle with you.
The Sharing Performance will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 31 August at 3pm (ages 8 to 10) & 3.30pm (ages 11 to 16) for Theatre Summer School and 1pm for Technical Summer School to show family and friends a little of what you have been doing over the week in a very informal showcase. Due to limited capacity, tickets for Sharing Performances are £3.50 and can be bought from Cast’s Box Office in advance.
