First time? No problems…here’s the low down. Seasoned visitor – welcome back we’ve missed you!
Here at Cast we think a night out shouldn’t be an ordeal, so kick back and let us take care of the details.
We don’t have a dress code! Fancy wearing that dinner jacket you’ve had tucked in the back of the wardrobe? Go for it – we love a good bow tie. If you feel like retiring the heels for the night and bringing out the jeans and trainers for the evening… go on….you’ve earnt it! Let’s be honest we’ve seen it all with the panto dame!
What time should I arrive?
We open the doors around 30 minutes before the start of the show time on your tickets. When the time comes you’ll hear our cheery team make an announcement, giving you the nod to take your seats. But why not give the cook the night off and come visit us for tea? Our fully stocked café bar serves a variety of home cooked meals. We stop serving food 30 minutes before the show starts.
Fancy a drink – I know the feeling! Whether it’s a cheeky g&t or a purely medicinal glass of wine we’ve got you covered. You can even pre-order your drinks and come the interval they will be waiting for you to enjoy. So whatever your tipple, get it pre-ordered and gloat whilst everyone else is queuing for the bar!
Is there parking?
Our car park is just a minutes’ walk around the corner at the Civic Quarter Car Park, and for you savvy sat-nav’ers the postcode is DN1 3JQ. There’s a special £2 evening rate if you park there after 6pm especially for theatre goer’s. Not driving? The bus and railway station is a 10 minute walk or you can order a taxi to pick you up outside of Cast after the show.
Is there a break?
Most of our shows have a 20 minute interval half way through, which you can go for a quick comfort break or to gloat about your pre-ordered drinks. Why not treat yourself to an ice-cream or a bag of confectionary and forget about that pesky New Year’s resolution - mines a mint chocolate chip if you’re offering!
