About Clara Croft: Rune Trader

A Tomb Raider spoof

After three Hollywood movies, 2027 sees the release of a new Tomb Raider TV series on Netflix starring Game of Thrones’ Sophie Turner and Aliens’ Sigourney Weaver.

Following Bond!, Is That A Whip In Your Hand? and continuing the creation of solo genre-busting spoofs, we present this Tomb Raider mash-up comedy Clara Croft: Rune Trader written and directed by touring UK favourite Gavin Robertson, and performed in collaboration with International Award-Winning New York-based female performer Clara Francesca.

This fast-paced, theatrically-inventive solo show takes the audience on a cartoon physical-theatre style action-packed adventure filled with ancient mystery, supernatural shivers, a sprinkle of subtly-placed feminism, and a lot of laughs.

After her two closest friends are kidnapped, Clara Croft is forced on a mission to steal the ancient Amulet of Isis – a quest that takes her to Italy, then Egypt via helicopter, plane, motorbike, submarine and more! To the Pyramids and beyond!

Can this adrenaline-fuelled adventure be told using only five crates and a ladder? You bet it can!
