I Think He Died of a Tuesday

Michael lived a good, long life and everyone agrees he will be missed. It was standing room only at the crematorium, a tribute to a man whose wicked sense of humour was as legendary as his decency and kindness.

For eighty years his jokes, pranks and anecdotes for every occasion made people laugh, from his native Belfast to his beloved adopted Yorkshire home. Now, his son Mark and grandson Sam must learn how to carry on as a double act without the larger-than-life star of their show.

As they navigate the bureaucracy of bereavement and the jarring reality of life moving on, father and son fall apart and drift apart. Michael would have known exactly how to get the show back on the road, but Mark and Sam keep losing their timing. 

Have the good times gone for good? Or can father and son make a comeback and manage an encore?

I Think He Died Of A Tuesday is a new comedy drama made in Yorkshire. This intergenerational story deals with mental health, parents and children, older male emotional struggles, belonging, family and the power of a damn good laugh.
