News Full cast announced for Cast's Christmas Panto, Dick Whittington and his Cat

We are thrilled to announce the full cast for our highly anticipated family pantomime, Dick Whittington and His Cat, set to open on Friday 27 November 2026. With a cast of both familiar faces and new talent, this magical production promises to be a highlight of the Christmas season. 

Taking on the title role of Dick Whittington is Harry Gascoigne, who is back for the third time after a year away last year. 

The role of the iconic dame, Sarah the Cook, will be played by Ben Eagle. This marks Ben’s fourth year as a dame at Cast, a role he has perfected over a long career that includes performances at the Royal Albert Hall and previous Cast pantomimes Cinderella (2025), Jack and the Beanstalk (2024) and Beauty and the Beast (2023). 

Also returning is a favourite from last year's Cinderella, Adam Porter Smith, who played the Ugly Stepsister Donna. Porter will play Alice's Father (and Sarah the Cook's love interest) Fitzy. The evil Queen Ratella will be played by Kimberley Ensor, whose recent stage credits include Sister Act: The Musical and Godspell. 

TheSpirit of the Bells will be brought to life by Grant McIntyre,and Alice will be played by talented actor-musician Kat Chatterton. 

The Senior Ensemble includes Catherine Hutchinson, Keiran Constable and Anushka Basu, with Basu also taking on the role of The Cat. 

The returning creative team for the panto this year includes Writer Neil Hurst, Director Tess Seddon, Musical Director Sonum Batra, and Percussionist and Assistant MD Taneli Clarke. Tom Robbins returns as Production Manager.  Sound design will be by Lee Affen, with Ellie Collyer-Bristow CDG as Casting Director.
