CAST AND PROAKTIVE ANNOUNCE NEW HEALTH & WELLBEING SPONSOR

A new sponsorship for Cast has been announced, bringing on board South Yorkshire’s award-winning  insurance and risk management company ProAktive. The first sponsorship of this kind for Doncaster, ProAktive will become the theatre’s first ever Health and Wellbeing partner.

As Health and Wellbeing Partner ProAktive will support the theatre’s work to promote positive wellbeing initiatives and the presentation of performances connected to this theme.

Cast Theatre is a charity and works with local vulnerable people experiencing a range of challenging circumstances. It also raises the profile of mental health difficulties or feelings of loneliness and stress through its programme in the Second Space.

“We’re delighted to be sponsoring Cast,” added Ian Laycock, CEO at ProAktive. “we’re forward thinking in our approach to partnerships and professionally, we’re all about minimising risk. So, when it comes to social issues like mental wellbeing, isolation, loneliness and gender equality we think it’s really important to support grass-roots initiatives. It seemed like such a natural fit to be working with Cast who present a year-round programme of great arts about and for wellbeing”

“We’re hugely excited about our new sponsorship of Cast and of working alongside the local communities to continue building on the theatre’s great work” he concluded.

ProAktive dates back to 1975 and was set up with the ethos to provide high quality insurance and risk management solutions to businesses in the region. As the business has grown, ProAktive has evolved a real focus on risk management, and these founding principles remain true, and are reflected in their choice of partnerships.

Cast’s Director Deborah Rees comments:

“We not only give back to the communities we serve, but by the nature of what we do as a theatre we’re exploring the dangers and perceptions around health and wellbeing. We’re very much looking forward to working with ProAktive in giving voice to these urgent issues through our work here at Cast.”
