Cast is Doncaster’s state-of-the-art performance venue, which strives to enrich the creative and cultural life of Doncaster communities through high-quality performances and participation work. We are a registered charity (no 1148432) and funded by Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and Arts Council England.
Doncaster is the 2nd most deprived area in South Yorkshire and the Sheffield City Region, with the health of people in Doncaster being worse than the England average. As the town is the is seventh lowest from the bottom for cultural engagement in the arts across the country, our mission is to enable the people of Doncaster to experience and flourish through positive, high quality arts engagements and experiences.
Trusts and foundations support plays a vital role in helping Cast deliver the transformative power of the arts including increasing people’s life chances, wellbeing and happiness. Cast believes Doncaster has an untapped and sometimes invisible voice needing an opportunity to be heard.
