BETH HINTON-LEVER

Beth will be playing the role of Saffiya in ‘The Doncastrian Chalk Circle’. Her first professional performances were here at Cast in 2015, playing Mona and Georgina in ‘Dance Hall’ and Princess Rosie in that year’s Christmas panto, ‘Sleeping Beauty’. And we’re incredibly excited to have her back! Recently Beth has performed as First Witch and Porter in ‘Macbeth’ at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, Teresa Johnson in the BBC’s ‘Silent Witness’ and as Jacques in ‘As You Like It’, the National Theatre’s last Public Acts production at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.

“I am beyond overjoyed to not only be back at Cast, but also to be working on Public Acts once again. To my mind, the reason humans have – since the beginning of time – gathered together and told stories is to foster an emotional connection with one another, create a parity of understanding and thought, and to be together. In short, we tell stories to create community. The Doncastrian Chalk Circle is the perfect example of that. I’ve been welcomed back to the Donny community wholeheartedly and I couldn’t be prouder to be telling this utterly epic story with them.”
