CHARLOTTE MILLS

Originally from Sheffield, Charlotte will be playing Queen Natella in ‘The Doncastrian Chalk Circle’, her first time back on stage since the lockdown. Recently she’s been fortunate enough to work on some great television projects: she can be seen in ‘Dodger’ on the BBC attempting to assassinate Queen Victoria, and in ‘Behind Her Eyes’ on Netflix.

“I’m delighted to be a part of The Doncastrian Chalk Circle company and to be telling such an epic tale with so many people and sharing a story for Doncaster with the brilliant people who make it the place it is.
I saw ‘Pericles’ at The National theatre in 2018 and was blown away by the scale of the project and seeing all of the energy and passion of the company was overwhelming, so I jumped at the chance to be a part of this National Theatre Public acts project in Doncaster. Coming and working back up in South Yorkshire makes it even more special too.
I’m delighted to be in Cast, back in a rehearsal room creating with a lovely bunch of people and am very excited to be back in front of a live audience again with a wonderful company.
The Doncastrian Chalk Circle is incredibly funny as well as heart-breaking at times and ultimately it shows how selfless some people can be in extraordinary situations – I’m playing a character who is a complete diva and utterly selfish to her core, so I’m definitely going to have lots of fun playing her!
I can’t wait for you to come and see what we have all created together."
