On Friday 24 May, Tuneful Chatter won the Inspirational Local Partnership Award at the Northern Cultural Education Awards held at The Edge Arena in Wigan.
Tuneful Chatter is a partnership between Cast, darts (Doncaster Community Arts), and City of Doncaster Council's Early Years Inclusion Team. Creatives across the three organisations, offer early years activities in Dance, Drama and Music to focus on young children’s communication and language, personal, social and emotional development – all of which have been delayed due to numerous lockdowns during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Cast's weekly Hello Baby sessions as well as Cast youth theatre Sparkles Group for 3-5year olds and our early years performance programme are all part of this programme of activities.
In January 2023, £425,719 was awarded from Arts Council England’s Place Partnerships Programme and supported by Doncaster Council to support a three year project with Doncaster’s 0-5 year olds and their families who have been hardest hit by the pandemic.
The Inspirational Local Partnership Award recognises the best in cross-sector partnership working and celebrates a group of organisations that have worked collectively to improve access to arts, culture and creativity for children and young people in their local area.
